Jaw-dropping, mind-blowing, and simply unforgettable. Most importantly, however, its gut-punch provides a tear-jerking reason to live.
Make no mistake, it's definitely not for everyone--it takes risks and fumbles here and there, but ultimately winds up encompassing everything I love about fiction. Its emotional core is striking, its characters deep and rich, its concept absolutely perfect, and, of course, it takes risks, and when the risks pay-off, they really pay off.
It's a moving novel, so moving that I can't help but respect it to its very core, even when it makes a few tiny missteps.
No guarantee you'll like it as much as I did, but definitely give it a read.
