The Fiery Cross

The story of Jamie and Claire continues in the Fiery Cross and does not disappoint. It had all the excitement of the others and even though this is the fifth book I wasn't bored with their story. I half expected one of the major characters to die, two of them came close and then I guess I was also expecting them to return to Scotland, but they are still in America. Diana Gabaldon left quite a bit of intrigue towards the end which of course leads on to the next book 'A Breath of Snow and Ashes'. This series of books is a beautiful epic love story that transports the reader to another time and place, makes you wonder what it's like to live without all the modern conveniences.
