“There’s violence in kindness and kindness in violence”
I love the premise of this. Three sisters descendants of the Three Fates. One that weaves threads, one that enhances or changes threads and one that cuts threads. Io is the cutter and her relationship with her other sisters Ava and Thais are the center of this story.
The romance is quite angsty as it is seemingly unrequited for majority of the time. Edei who is her fated (according to their thread that connects each other) has a girlfriend and Io didn't want to force the fates on him. There was a sweet conversation at the end.Essentially, Io lets it all out with Edei. That she feels guilty for not cutting their thread because she has feelings. However, she understands that both her and him have to consider if those feelings are due to their fate or genuine feelings. I love their transparent conversations and both are quite similar. I rarely am convinced of a romance in YA books but I am convinced here. I can't wait to see where they go.
The flaw in this book is the pacing. It feels like you're in a nice car (original premise) however, the driver is braking constantly and as a passenger you're thrown around. But I feel that since the setup is basically done, the next book should be better. Especially where it left off here.
