The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

5.0

"people see what they wish to see. and in most cases, what they are told to see."

books like the night circus are the very reason my six star category exists.
this book was amazing. marvelous. stupendous. exhilarating. dare i say...magical? i have used over 200 tabs on this book. i cannot get enough.

it's a very slow book, and plot wise: enough happens to move the book along but once you finish it's hard to explain what happened.
i can put into words how this book made me feel. it made me feel seen. it made me feel like i wasn't reading, but i was in the night circus. this is one of those books where time can fly by and you won't enough notice, because you are so immersed in the storyline.

the umbrella scene had me falling out of my chair. (miraculous energy, anyone?)
THE TWISTS AND TURNS THIS STORY TOOK WHILE STILL KEEPING IT'S MYSTICAL, UNREAL ENERGY BLOWS MY MIND I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY.

this is a perfect book. that is the highest form of praise you can give a book, that you wouldn't change a SINGLE thing in this book. you simply cannot touch the level that is "the night circus" level. i am going to compare every single book i own to this book it cannot compare.

SpoilerARE ALL THE "ANTICIPATION" "PLAYING WITH FIRE" little excerpts WIDGET TELLING THE STORY BECAUSE IF THAT'S REAL I'M SO UNWELL BRO I SLAPPED MY HAND OVER MY MOUTH

this story fit together so perfectly. all the puzzle pieces, stars, moon and sun aligned in favour of this book.
