This is a story that is teenage horror meets The Martian, except on the moon. There were a few major plot holes that I couldn’t get behind. For example, why did they send three teenagers up in the first place? There were others but I can’t mention them for spoiler reasons. If you like a plot focused story that is an adventurous horror story, then this is for you. It is pretty fast paced but this means that this isn’t character focused as they pretty much stay the same throughout. You will want to turn the page to find out what is going on. More needed to be developed, especially the dementia character in the old age home. Oddly, this was extremely interesting and left me wanting more. It seemed as if each character had little snippets that were just enough to understand the plot. This novel needed to be longer.
