Hate You by Logan Fox

3.0

It would be beneficial if the synopsis noted that this was Hateful Bully rewritten.

I spent the first few pages being like, I have *read* this book. But wait, the publication is date is October 2021. But beat for beat, I *know* I have read this scene, right down to the younger sister popping the potato in her mouth.

All that being said, I think this version was better. I liked the transition from Josiah to Jude and Candy to Harper. I also liked the dropping of the weird stepfather obsession plot, though it made the mom’s actions and the conversation in the pool house (which came much later in Hateful Bully) a little out of place. The camp/reform scenes were cut really short, making it seem like an odd plot device rather than a large part like the original story. Like, they could have had the same scenes being grounded at home.
