The Murder at the Vicarage by Agatha Christie
4.0

I love Miss Marple. It has been years and years since I read these books and my goal for this year is to read all the Marples. Although the story is narrated by the Vicar, Miss Marple plays a key role in solving the murder. Look for the peculiar things and pay attention to human nature. It's that simple.
"The young people think the old people are fools--but the old people know the young people are fools!"
I loved her description of Inspector Slack--"well, he's exactly like the young lady in the boot shop who wants to sell you patent leather because she's got it in your size, and doesn't take any notice of the fact that you want brown calf."
