The caucasity displayed in this novel had me double check that it wasn’t in fact written by a psuedo self-martyring white woman. Kuang did an excellent job with this portrayal.  The absolute DELUSION when she’s spiraling at the end is just the cherry on top. Looking forward to checking out some of her other works.
