Ancillary Sword outpaces it's predecessor Ancillary Justice by leagues. Deep character development with those indebted in morality and spirit to their own mortal sins are matched with allies and enemies each equally attuned to and blind to their own cultural biases, implicit nature's, and desires for a better world.

Conservative pitted against liberal with austere and commanding pacing, this book will grip you at times with an intense feeling for its characters - and at other moments have you feeling as though you are strapped to a fast-movinf ship of political intrigue and complex webs just barely hanging on.

Beautiful . Challenging. Feminist. Socialist. Inspiring without being cloying. One of the best science fiction books I've read in the past few years.
