break your glass slippers by Amanda Lovelace

5.0

this is the first book in a new series by the one and only amanda lovelace. mistress of heartfelt poetry and bringing difficult emotions to paper.

while the first two series were about getting over loss and rejection, painful experiences and toxic relationships this new first book is all about discovering your self-worth and standing your ground.

yes, it still picks up on the toxic relationships mainly but not limited to romantic relationships but this is all about confirming your self-believe, about reassuring you and reminding you that you owe nothing to anyone.

whether you struggle with self-confidence or have in the past, whether you feel low at times or worry whether you're being too self-absorbed, this book will wrap you in a soft warm blanket, make you a hot tea and put a teddy bear in your arms. all the while telling you that you are worth the world, that you have to limit yourself for no one but also telling you some harsh hard truths.

this book doesn't cover-up. doesn't romanticize. doesn't lull you in until you have no own free will anymore. it will empower you in a way only your fairy godmother could.

with love, Me
