I thought this was a really good conclusion to the series! Maybe a little too conclusive honestly in how quickly everything was resolved after Millie's trial. The ending itself didn't necessarily leave me wanting more, but I'd really love to see more books set in the Arcadia Project universe, if not from Millie's perspective than maybe someone else's (most obvious that comes to mind would be Caryl; her narration style would be...interesting).
Although I do enjoy the plot and settings of the books, the Millie and Caryl romance is really what kept me invested in the 2nd and 3rd. I have mixed feelings about how it ended up -
while I would've liked them to end up together more definitively it's hard to imagine it actually going well. I think the way it played out is definitely rooted in the notion of "sometimes you have to let someone go so they can get help" which I like a lot as a theme. That being said...FREE MY GIRL CARYL she did nothing wrong!!
