I only wish I had known it was essentially a collection of short stories before starting it - I was so disappointed when it suddenly ended, and I was confused by the disjointed nature of them. But as with Rules, great characters and so well written. I especially loved the evocation of a bygone golden age in LA. I too hope Towles has another in the works.
