I don’t know what I was expecting the last book of this series to be… but whatever it was it wasn’t THAT! 🫠
Like, don’t get me wrong, a perfectly sweet joyful ending in its own way. But also… like HUH!? That’s it??? 😭
Very C. S. Lewis, but definitely heavier on the Christianity front this time but just tossing away subtle imagery and being very blatant with it. Not that that’s necessarily a bad thing! I think everyone knows going into this that Lewis was a firm believer and that it’s a common strong theme in all his works. It was just that after all the other books to kind of suddenly be really smacked in the face with it was a bit much. Not to mention the old constant racism of that decade 😬
