Oh my stars! This story is so raw, gritty and intense from start to finish. The whole concept behind Alaric watching over Layla and Zoey to how things all play out, mind-blowing with the intensity and passion within these pages! Layla is such a fighter, even with everything thrown at her, pushing her down, she claws her way back. She would do anything for her little sister Zoey even if that meant marrying a man she didn’t even know. Alaric is a complicated character. His job to say the least is the biggest thing, but how his emotions just bleed once he feels that connection with Layla. He cares deeply and she unlocks that within him.
Between the concept, the way things all played out, I could not get enough. This book is hands down going to be one of my favorites of 2022 and I am so looking forward to what is to come with the next one in this series!
