Autobiography of Red
by Anne Carson
Reread, 2019.
I debated revisiting this, because, like others have noted, I didn't want to destroy the youthful memory, although really the youthful memory is of reading this while recovering from a minor injury and it's all caught up in my first inklings of awareness of my own mortality and insecurities and unfulfilled desires SO I'm not really sure what I was worried of ruining now that I'm...more aware of those things. Ha. I think I appreciated the scope this time around and not just the sense of impending doom.
