As an immense fan of Critical Role, and a lover of The Mighty Nein, this book was a largely anticipated release for me.
The whole story was a question of “Which came first the chicken or the egg?” because it is so unbelievably Jester-coded. It is a cheesy and delightful romance. It had an ending I did not see coming. And the spice was so flavorfully described that I was laughing at the thought of Jester reading this aloud to the rest of Nein.
I so enjoyed this story and this production. Many, very needed, laughs were had 💙
