The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli

4.0

"There's an upside here. Because when you spend so much time just intensely wanting something and then you actually get the thing? It's magic."

This is a really diverse novel and I love the concept of it. Having both moms who have gone through the sperm cell thingy was a unique yet unusual way to conceive a child and it's kinda cool how the author wrote it.

I think the only thing that concerns me was how the teenagers on this book thought so much about sex. Growing up in a conservative country, I really find it hard to relate myself to the characters but I managed and it was pretty awesome to get to see their point of view. I love the main character, she's just so gullible and sweet. I find her hard to resist.

All in all, this book was worthy and a fast read. I recommend it to everyone who's looking for a short, light yet entertaining novel.
