not a strong enough condemnation of the playboy empire. by the end, she seems content with her relationship to hefner? even going so far as to say he was the only one who ever treated her with compassion/empathy/like a kid. she also doesn’t really distance herself at all from playboy, i know it’s her life but the message in the memoir is that she’s not quite finished with the mansion or the party lifestyle that is so detrimental to her. it’s odd. maybe she should’ve waited to write the memoir. 

also, casual anti asian racism. wtf like she didn’t have to include that.
