series started off decent but the last two books were banal and drab :/ the dialogue was flat and repetitive, the characters became grating with questionable decision making skills, and the plotline was shaped by uninvested high stakes.
it took a few rounds of concentrated brute force reading and many eye rolls for me to finish the series. kinda bummed out because the first two books had good momentum and were bingeable.
