I can’t decide to what degree I like this book. The first thing I can say is that it’s a really good book. Well-written, fast paced, interesting, and great themes and emotions.
A few things I didn’t like, though. The main one being there are way too many characters and titles and connections for me to remember. I eventually gave up trying and just vibed with a number of the characters as a conglomerate.
I’d also say it’s too fast paced in the sense that it all takes place over the span of, like, three weeks. That was a lot to go through in such a short amount of time, especially when you consider the relationships between characters.
And while I’m not as interested in reading about such young characters as I once was, this story is so well-written and interesting that I’ll likely be finding myself reading more of the series some day
