ihateprozac 's review for:
Zac and Mia
by A.J. Betts
This was an enjoyable but ultimately forgettable read.
Things I liked:
- Zac was delightful and I loved his internal monologue
- Lady Gaga references (so dated yet so great)
- Alpacas!
- Zac’s family was adorable and so sweet
- Mia was downright unlikeable but voicey as HELL
This book didn’t do anything wrong, but it just didn’t strike a chord in me and I won’t remember it a few months down the road. It’s the type of book that never fully engrossed me, but that meant it was the perfect read to dip in and out of during tram rides. It was entertaining but not much more than that - and that’s okay.
3 stars
Representation: protagonists with cancer, partial limb amputee
