The Devil's Kiss: Epilogue
by Gemma James
This is the second book in the series and book 1, The Devil's Kiss, needs to be read first.
Wow - I thought I hated Gage in book one but this seems to take it to even a higher level. I was just blown away by how much he controls Kayla's life and really plays with everyone's life around him. I don't know when I have ever hated a love interest of the main character so much. Gage is just evil and sadistic in every aspect of his life except for Eve. I do worry about what is to come for the relationship of Eve and Gage but right now he truly seems to dote on her like a father but the comments of Ian have me worried.
I'm torn when it comes to Kayla as to a certain degree she is stuck where she is but at the same time I think she really could have an ability to escape with Eve if she absolutely had to. The stuff that she allows Gage to do to her makes me cringe when she is in tears and not happy yet he just ignores it. Yet Kayla stays and I know that she does enjoy much of what Gage puts her through.
I was so upset with what Gage accused her of and I was so mad that Gage didn't look into things further in regards to his own health.
At the end of the book I just shook my head with the events but really wonder where things are headed next.
