The Shining Girls by Lauren Beukes

5.0

Whoa this was cool. And horrifying, and fascinating, etc. I would have loved an explanation of what the heck was going on with the house, or more info on where Harper came from but it never really happened (we get a brief flashback from Harper, but it doesnt feel very complete). The story itself, the tight timelines, the perspective changes, etc. Really fascinating and well-crafted. Interesting factoids and well-researched details throughout.

Not for the faint of heart, there's a whole lotta murder, much of it from the killer's perspective, and some decent gore/descriptions in here.
