Love Is a Mix Tape by Rob Sheffield
4.0

4.5 stars! I cannot thank Harry Styles enough for bringing me to this book. I discovered this after reading Styles' captivating Rolling Stones cover story penned by Rob Sheffield himself. I am always a bit skeptical about memoirs, but the way Love Is A Mixtape is written is extremely soulful. In a nutshell, this book is about understanding love and loss through music. The chapters are named after real mixtapes and Sheffield does a beautiful way of demonstrating how these relate to certain people, places, and events... kind of the way we have a Spotify playlist for just about anything. It's a bittersweet book that will not only give you a great reading experience, but also a number of well-curated playlists filled with 60s-90s classics. Music fans definitely need to read this at least once!
