3.5

the last few chapters of this book made the first many worth it...but the first 3/4 are so slow and mysterious I almost didn't have it in me to follow through to the end.

I'm not really a fan of when an author dances around an idea for a whole book without ever telling the reader what's up, but like I guess I can see the appeal sometimes.  The reveal at the end puts the whole rest of the book in a new light...but we get that glimpse at the world and then it's over. I get left wanting to know more lol.
