This was very well written as s journey through grief of losing a partner. It was very tough to read in terms of material. I saw it as not access to another timeline,

but drug-induced visions that she used to escape into and ignore the real world. Which made the trip to Croatia that much worse. But then her recovery that much more rewarding.
