readerguy 's review for:
Around the World in Eighty Days
by Jules Verne
It was overall a good read, I had put off reading this book for quite some time because of it's publishing year, I though that it would be very hard to read and boring. But in reality, it was quite the contrary, the first dozen chapters are very small, like 3 pages each, this makes it very easy to just pick up the book and read a little.
The plot too was very interesting and kept me engaged for most of the journey, there were a few parts here and there that did feel a little uninteresting like in the middle of the journey a guy just comes on the train and for a chapter straight, just explains Mormon History, that felt out of nowhere and frankly speaking was the only time in the whole book where I felt a little "bored". But overall, the book felt really good and kept you with Mr. Fogg throughout the journey. A pleasant read!
