At this point I was just going through the motions because I have a hard time putting down books unfinished, and for some reason I had the entire season on my kindle and some free time on my hand. The end is sufficiently "closed" that I've decided not to proceed to book four though, using the time for more interesting reading.

In general, the book feels very normative, very expected. I may simply not be the target audience with the amount of books I read and my pnechant for no-normative and queer fantasy where not everything revolves strictly around the duality of male and female.
