One Snowy Week in Springhollow by Lucy Knott

Nice story, I would give more stars but for the following reasons, some very pedantic ones, but hey my opinion :)
a) although British author and set in England, I thought from the title it had to be American as the village name felt to be in American name style, rather than English which would be more like Avon-on-Sea (that was my best stereotype attempt sorry!). The dialog also used American words instead of British, I.e. mad instead of angry, vacation instead of holidays. Possibly British vocabulary has got more Americanised, or it’s a generational thing, but it seemed a bit disconnected with where it was actually set.
b) I blame the editors for this, the grammatical mistake of using “I” when the person is not subject in the sentence. Saw this a number of times and that is something that should have been picked up.
C) the dialog particularly in the last few chapters felt rushed and the personalities for both a bit flat, as it was getting to the HEA. It seemed to repeat the main issue and history of the two a lot so I do wonder whether it could have done with another revision to focus the plot better.
After all that I enjoyed it, but not sure I’ll read another by the author.
