I'm not really sure what to say about this book. It was an entertaining enough story but very predictable. I don't really love any of the characters. I don't feel like I know them well enough to make that call. I do like that the backbone of the story is one sister trying to save another. Yes, there's betrayal and wars brewing and some romance. However, every action Em makes is simply to rescue her sister. She has no other thought or action that is more important than trying to achieve that goal. I like Cas but he's way too naive. The side characters are all props to support Em and Cas. Hopefully they get some development in the next book.
