Wonder Show

Beautifully done. The prose is lyrical without ever feeling over-written, the characters, particularly Portia, but most of the secondary characters too, are rich and complex (with the exception, I guess, of the villain, who is very evil). May not have broad appeal because it's not plot-driven at all - some of the chapters read like individual vignettes- but be a hit with the right audience.
