Finding Home Again by Brenda Jackson
4.0
He'd lost ten years!
Kaegen Chambray spent ten years hating the only woman he ever loved. Bryce Witherspoon had a secret that was not hers to tell and that secret broke her heart. When that secret was no longer a secret, Kaegen regretted losing ten years he could have been with Bryce. They spent ten Years hating each other. Bryce felt that Kaegen should have known her better and had faith in her.
With everything revealed, Kaegen was determined to win Bryce's heart again. He would not lose her again. He just about lost it when she was in danger. He didn't hesitate to go for their HEA. The whole town knew they belonged together and hoped they would mend their fence.
I love how the author tied in Eagle Bend Inlet from the beginning of the story to the end where Bryce and Kaegen returned to their home place to begin their HEA.
I just have a few problems with the settings of the story. Being a Louisiana Bayou girl, there are some cultural things that do not jive with the story. Brenda needs to do a little research about that. This Creole girl would be happy to help.
NOTE: This story was read and listened to in sync with Audible.com. The narrator Ron Butler did an excellent job. I love his Kaegen Chambray voice, especially when he was wooing Bryce. I loved it. his voice was smooth and easy to listen to.
