Ok Lily you have my attention. I adored this book. First of all, just like book 1, I love the humor. Any book that can make me audibly laugh multiple times is a winner. Asa and Jude were both great main characters with interesting backgrounds, understandable amounts of baggage, and great sexual and emotional chemistry. Billy was one of the cutest kids I've read in a romance and really added to the story. I mean, I'm not a child behavior expert or anything but he didn't seem unrealistically written. Overall, there was a lot of tenderness in this book that caught me by surprise given the snarkiness of the humor. Super sweet moments that made my heart ache without being saccharine. Even the 3rd act conflict made sense to me..slightly annoying but not super drawn out or anything

This would've been a full 5 star but the ending dragged for me. And this is coming from someone who loves seeing the couple after they get together. I live for a good epilogue. But this one just went on a bit too long or something idk. I might not have noticed it in a different book but the pacing was so strong for the first 85-90% that it stood out to me.

I just love when I find an author with writing that just clicks for me. Definitely will be reading through this series and finding other Lily Morton books in the future.
