This was pretty disappointing. I felt like there was not enough build up and development to the relationship. The story contradicts itself which made the main conflict feel pointless.

Basically, Alcy thinks since he's an angel that he's not supposed to want sex and that he can't love a demon. But, there was so much emphasis on the Supreme (i.e god) being all about love. One moment Alcy would be explaining to Carter that the Supreme holds love above everything, and the next moment Alcy was fearing that he would be 'unmade' because he loves Carter and Beez.

The end twist was wild, I'll give it that. I didn't see it coming and it had me shook a little.
