The Darkening by Paul Antony Jones

2.0

There were parts of this book that I really found enjoyable, but the set up was not one of the things I liked. The whole reason for the 'infection' I found to be weak and did not make sense at any level. It was both silly and offensive.

But... I did like the monsters and the characters and the ending. It was interesting, but I kept having to push back the ugh of the beginning which really affected how I felt about the story. So you set up this thing... then what? No resolution no more except one snide and ineffective remark three-quarters of the way through the book? I admit that it was scary in some parts, that is why this is an ok read.
