Stronger on character analysis than the mystery plot it has going on by the end. It may be my own bias towards more supernatural element to these things, which Powers somewhat evokes with her descriptions of the canyon. Still, it's Picnic at Hanging Rock that sticks to having a closed ending and explanation. Kill Creatures is similarly at its best when the mysteries keep stacking up with little answers provided inbetween. The epilogue, in my very humble opinion, could've been done without. The ending before it has a deliciously frustrating openness to it.
