Loved the writing; I could feel the cold of those woods. I could also feel the anger of countless women as they were dismissed as less than. And Martha’s anger as she fought for justice for her female patients.
Such a strong historical figure and a very compelling story. More than once I had to pause because I wasn’t sure I was ready to learn the fates of the characters.
