I did enjoy this one (not as much as the first one, but I think that is going to be hard to beat for me), but it did feel a bit long/slow.

I do love all the characters though and I really love reading about all these different kinds of relationships and love.

One of the reasons why I personally didn't like this as much as the first - and I realized this as I was reading - is that it's a second chance romance, which I apparently isn't really for me.

"I don't want it to be just one person, " I said. My father turned. He had a strange look on his face. "And why is that?" "Because people leave," I said honestly."

"After all I'm just a kid who has had everything taken from him. What could I possibly understand about loss?"

"Because he's my brother. Because I'm his protector. Because I love him. He keeps me sane. He keeps me whole. He's not like Joe. He's not meant to be an Alpha. Kelly's not as strong as him. He needs me. I need him."

"I don't want it to happen, Gordo. I don't want to lose this. This tether." His smile was shaky. "It's the only part of you that's every been mine."

"Mark has loved you since he knew what love was."

"He said he was proud of me," I whispered, fearing that saying it any louder would make it untrue."

"I don't understand straight people."
