I finally finished the final book in the series after having read the other books at least ten times each as a kid. For some reason I never finished this one, and honestly that was for the best. I really loved Fenchurch and was looking forward to that story, and the way she disappeared felt like she was literally disposed of, as if she was meaningless. It was painful!

And of course the ending of the book is a huge mega bummer. I read that Adams thought so himself and regretted the tone of the book. I think this one is skippable, or, just read up to the first few scenes with Fenchurch and then move on.
