Death Comes as the End
by Agatha Christie
This one was my first mystery read. I was always obsessed with pyramids and Egyptian civilization. Obviously when I opted to read the queen of mystery, my eyes caught this one. When I finished reading I was like “wow she writes well”. That’s how my first mystery reading experience felt. Then I started some more books by Ms. Christie and others and this one relegated to my oblivion. Recently I gave it a try and reread the book. May be I am not so impressed like I used to be but to be honest the book is worth reading again.
“The Death Comes as the End” belongs to genre of historical thriller fiction. The events are on the greatest times of ancient Egyptian civilization. Imhotep brings a concubine to his family and suddenly all bad things are happening. Peoples are dying and we keep guessing. But as always the author put as in dark. The plot is brilliant and like always climax is exceptionally clever. So for Agatha Christie fans, there may be some great read than this one but you should endeavor this historical fiction.
