I'm torn about this. I was touched by instances of access intimacy that he describes (including a school cafeteria worker being happy to help him pee in an emergency, and very chill about it; and some great moments sharing meals with friends). The issues he experiences accessing care, including Oxford's persistently terrible handling of the situation, are truly appalling and should get more attention.

Unfortunately, the writing style really brings this down. It's quite overwritten, ridiculously so at points, and I had a tough time sticking with it. During the "acknowledgments" section, I just kept thinking, HOW on earth did all these editors and readers actually sign off on this?? I would still recommend it (it's a quick listen)...just with a huge grain of salt.
