This had to be insane for the Victorians. Imagine how their medical advancements must have inspired such work. It may seem simple or boring to some, but the idea of reanimating corpses and being haunted by them was unimaginably terrifying then. It may not be so scary now, but the beauty of Shelley's prose demonstrates how much there is to gain by reading this.
