Andy Weir has one way of writing a character and it worked in the Martian and Hail Mary but was kind of weak in this book. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the characters he writes but his 26 year old main character did not sound like a 26 year old woman. It really took you out of the story which was actually a pretty good story.
