Shay is a divine character, and honestly, a breath of fresh air to read. Her wit, intelligence, and stubbornness were all too real. She had me laughing out loud at every corner. I sympthasized with her, especially after the accident.
However, her man Cole lowkey was killing me. He's too hot and too cold. He wants her, but he doesn't answer her calls. He doesn't want a public relationship, but he makes her come in his office. He loves her, but he pushes her away. Truthfully, his character needed tons of emotional development. By the end, I was almost falling out of love with him. I wished the novel was a little longer so that we could actually see him become a better partner.
