I love the way Kendra Elliott can weave a story. This one was complicated, with twists and multiple points of view. One of my favorite things about Kendra Elliott is if you pay attention to the details, you can find all the evidence you need to connect the dots. I had my suspicions about a few plot lines and was still shocked by some of the details in the final twist.
I’ve loved Truman and Mercy from their beginning and I love that Kendra Elliott keeps bringing us back into their world. The addition of Ollie’s point of view brought a new layer to this thrilling adventure. I loved getting Ollie’s point of view now that he’s older and has been living in society for a few years now.
This was a thrilling crime adventure through the forest of Oregon. It was exciting and suspenseful. It had several twists and cameos from some of my favorite Kendra Elliott books. I love that all her books take place in the same world so you never know who might drop in.
