Here’s the thing, I’ll read any and every book that comes out in this series. I cannot recommend them enough. They’re so fun and weirdly cozy considering all the murders.
The prose is fun and lighthearted while also relying on some ravens for more macabre jokes. I really loved the setting of this story in particular, and the twists and turns were well done. I didn’t feel as though there were cheap tricks just to pull one over on me. Everything was adequately foreshadowed while still largely surprising me.
Reading this at the end of August/beginning of September is 100% the play.
