I love the concept of sapphic road trip runaways, however I don’t think this book pulled it off very well. I feel like I know nothing about our main characters, Jessie and Brooke. For majority of the book it felt like things were just happening to them, whenever a glimpse of personality or depth of characters was presented it was quickly shut down. Because of this I didn’t feel particularly fond of Jessie or Brooke, they were like two placeholders, and I could swap their character out for another without any change to the main storyline. I also have an issue with inconsistencies in the plot, it feels like the attention to details are missing, and I am honestly just confused
