Bone Crier's Moon by Kathryn Purdie
5.0
Wow. This was so incredibly good and I feel wildly vindicated in snap ordering a large meal from Trident Booksellers JUST so I could get my grubby paws on this book immediately.
Let me explain.
I was scrolling through Goodreads, trying to find a book that would reach me during what is undoubtedly a HORRENDOUS reading slump (seriously people, I read only like 4 books in April) and the cover of this just JUMPED out at me. So gorgeous. I couldn't NOT own it.
But it's May 2020 and we are DEEP in these social distancing times.
Feeling nearly as frenzied as the tiger shark Ailesse slays for her bone grace, I could only think of ordering a lovely, large meal from my favorite indie bookstore (support your local folks! Especially now) and getting this book to pick up. Phew, thanks for having this option for us!
Anyway, I have absolutely zero regrets. This book was like Serpent and Dove but also not?!
What a hauntingly beautiful, fantastical, enemies-to-lovers ghost story.
And now I have a full year to wait for the sequel.
