Interesting take on the shifter trope. I thought the Egyptian callbacks and heirarchy were all very interesting, though all the terminalogy did get a little confusing. It felt like the author had a very complete world in her head, but she didn't always find a way to easily explain it.
I really liked Jin's character a lot, and while Logan occasionally annoyed me with his unintentional "alpha-male" BS, I thought overall he was a good guy. Great connection between Jin and Logan and a fairly interesting plot.
I will say that there were too many sex scenes. Quite a few of them were needed/added value and moved the plot forward, but there quite a few that served no purpose and it just got boring. At one point towards the end, there was a chapter that was literally just two sex scenes back to back that had no purpose at all. The sex was hot, but when you have so many scenes it sort of deludes them.
My library has the rest of the series, so I'll probably give the sequels a try.
