This was probably my least favorite out of Carley Fortunes books. It felt slightly jumbled/not as smooth as her other books, but I did enjoy the story and the intent behind the book. It wasn’t the best flashback/current day book I’ve read and I wish we had the mom’s diary excerpts starting from the beginning of the book as I think they were important to the backstory and us learning about Fern’s and her her moms relationship. I wasn’t head over heels for Will either, his character was swoon worthy but it felt lackluster in some spots. But a decent summer read.
